The four seasons, heads
2012
Polystyrene heads, supermarket brochures, postal tubes
150×30×30 cm each
'The four seasons, Heads' is a series of sculptures inspired by the paintings by Giuseppe Arcimboldo. Images of seasonal food were cut out from supermarket brochures, which I collected from a local store all year around, and they were classified into the four seasons. Then, the cutouts were stuck on the mannequin heads which are usually used for display. They stand at the hight which is slightly lower than us but higher than nomal plinths.
